Application, care, removal, and the science behind the inks. Everything you need to wear a Tattoo Factory design well.
Application

Skin should be clean, dry and ideally hair-free. Avoid body creams or oils: to bond well, the tattoo needs a smooth, grease-free surface.

Peel off the clear protective film and place the design directly on your skin. Then press a damp cloth or sponge against the back of the paper and hold for about 45 seconds.

Carefully slide the wet paper off your skin. Done — the design has fully transferred: sharp, completely opaque and incredibly realistic.

Wait two minutes before touching the tattoo, getting dressed or rinsing the skin with water. The protective layer must dry fully to set.
Care
Lasts 5–8 days
On average our temporary tattoo stays in perfect condition for a week with normal daily hygiene. Because of skin characteristics and frequent friction, designs on hands, feet and joints can fade a little faster (3 to 5 days).
Wash-resistant
After bathing, pat the skin dry gently with a towel — avoid rubbing hard. After the first 24 hours, hot water and soap are no problem for the tattoo.
Avoid greasy creams
Sunscreen (SPF), body oils and scrubs speed up fading and wear. Apply your favourite cosmetics around the tattoo, avoiding the printed area.
Sun and sea
The tattoo is water-resistant, handles a normal swim and fully resists sweat. Keep in mind, though, that frequent, prolonged exposure to salty sea water can cut its lifespan to 3–5 days.
Removal
Time for a change? In three simple steps the design disappears without a trace: zero residue, zero irritation, and your skin is ready for the next project!
Soap and water
Apply soap and water directly to the tattoo and rub gently to work up a lather.
Rub
Rub the skin firmly with a clean cloth or towel. The design starts to lift within 30 to 40 seconds.
Rinse
Wash the area again with soap and water until the tattoo is completely gone, leaving no trace on the skin.

Our default ink. Cosmetic-grade, vegan, CPNP-registered. Sharp, opaque colour with subtle satin finish.
VEGAN
Vegan plus
5–8 days
100% plant-derived pigment. Identical longevity to standard. Costs 10% more — used for limited drops.
All inks are CPNP-registered (EU Cosmetic Products Notification Portal). Cruelty-free certified.
