Not everyone walks around with a finished tattoo idea in their head — and you don't need one to get a great design. At Tattoo Factory there are three ways to end up with a temporary tattoo that looks like it was made for you: start from scratch, upload your own art, or let our AI generator do the heavy lifting. Here's how each one works, and how to get the best result.
Option 1: Generate a design with AI
If you can describe it, you can wear it. Our AI tattoo generator turns a short text prompt into a print-ready design in seconds — no drawing skills required.
Writing a good prompt
The generator rewards specifics. Instead of "a flower", try a prompt that names the subject, the style, and the line weight:
- Subject — what it is: "a coiled snake", "a crescent moon with three stars", "a bunch of wildflowers".
- Style — how it's drawn: fine-line, blackwork, old-school flash, minimalist, dotwork, watercolour.
- Detail — extras that sell it: "thin single line", "small, palm-sized", "symmetrical", "no shading".
Example: "Fine-line crescent moon with three tiny stars, thin single line, minimalist, no shading."
Generate a few variations, pick the one you like, and refine the prompt until it's right. Temporary ink means there's zero risk in experimenting — if it's not perfect, change a word and try again.
Option 2: Upload your own design
Already have artwork — a sketch, a logo, a piece from your favourite artist (with their blessing)? Use our custom upload flow. For the cleanest print:
- Upload the highest-resolution file you have. Crisp edges print crisp.
- Transparent PNGs work best — the background drops out so only your design transfers to skin.
- High-contrast line art beats low-contrast photos. Bold lines read better at tattoo scale than fine gradients.
Option 3: Start from the catalog
Short on inspiration? Browse the shop for ready-made designs across fine-line, minimalist, lettering and flash styles. Many are a great jumping-off point you can tweak before ordering.
Before you order: sizing and placement
A design that's perfect on a forearm can get lost on a wrist. Match the size to where you'll wear it, and remember that very fine details shrink with the tattoo — leave a little breathing room between lines so they stay distinct.
How it's made
Whatever route you choose, we print your final design in skin-safe, vegan, CPNP-registered ink and ship it across Europe. Applied with a damp cloth in under a minute, it looks like the real thing and lasts 5–8 days. Want the full application walkthrough? See how it works.
Ready to make something? Generate a design with AI or upload your own — there's no commitment until you order, and no needles ever.
